Blake Susanne Bertie was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer, on September 5, 2006. After a year-long battle, Blake earned her Angel wings on August 13, 2007. Blake had sparkling blue eyes and unforgettable red hair. She loved music and being with her friends and family.

Blake's death leaves a hole in our lives that can never be refilled. We realize that, though we feel empty, we are not helpless - there is something we can do to help other families benefit from our experience. In loving memory of Blake's life and spirit, we have established a not-for-profit organization to promote awareness of childhood cancer, the number one disease killer of children. The Blake Bertie Cancer Foundation will provide financial support for childhood cancer research and to local families affected by cancer. The BBCF also hopes to make a difference in the lives of children battling this disease.
